This position has an estimated duration of 6-12 months. Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.
Position Summary
The Analyst, Payroll drives process improvements and works collaboratively with other members of the HR Ops team and support groups to ensure the timelines, efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing and associated deliverables. The scope of responsibilities includes payroll processing for all US and foreign locations including a unionized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees in accordance with Company policy, union contracts and federal/state regulations as well as customer service standards
- Schedule, prepare and review payrolls worldwide on a rotating schedule of pay groups
- Perform an analytical detail audit of payrolls processed
- Stay abreast of federal, state, and local payroll tax changes and reporting requirementsLeverage consulting skills to partner with internal and external business partners to drive best practices
- Calculate and maintain accrued payroll liabilities
- Maintain payroll tax rates
- Responsible for quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations
- Drive the continuous improvement of payroll processes with a push towards automation including system changes and enhancements
- Develop a recurring payroll metrics dashboard for Leaders to track and measure the efficiency of payroll processes
- Produce quarterly and year-end payroll and labor expense reporting
- Serve as an escalation point for incoming questions and requests and supports the Payroll Administrator in responding to inquiries
- Maintain the confidentiality, accuracy and security of payroll and time & attendance data and adhere to documented payroll process and key internal controls over financial reporting (including compliance with SOX)
- Deliver manager and employee training throughout the Company with regards to payroll and time and attendance procedures and systems
- Work closely with the Airport Operations – Employee Support, Treasury, Accounting and Crew Payroll
- Create and maintain documentation of payroll team procedures and policies
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of progressive payroll experience
- Experience performing numerous functions within Payroll and HR, including time and attendance
- Experience analyzing large volumes of data, identifying root-cause analysis, making data-driven decisions/recommendations, and communicating trends
- Ability to prioritize, manage time and resources effectively, adapt to rapidly changing priorities and meet required deadlines (which may occasionally require after-business hours work or weekend duty)
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidates experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $65,600- $86,100.
