Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $47.81-$52.81/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and verification of cutting-edge cybersecurity systems for the U.S. Submarine Force.
Analyze requirements and translate them into effective test plans and procedures.
Develop, execute, and document test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and compliance.
Perform software, firmware, and hardware troubleshooting during verification and validation (V&V) events.
Assemble and configure computer systems based on design drawings and port maps.
Conduct both informal and formal test events, often in collaboration with Navy representatives and other contractors.
Document and track software/hardware issues and work closely with engineering teams to resolve them.
Install and test Information Assurance (IA) software and support systems at offsite testing locations.
Collaborate in weekly technical and program meetings, contributing updates and resolving test-related issues.
Travel occasionally to support lab-based or shipboard test and installation events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and 4+ years job-related experience); Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience also accepted.
U.S. Citizenship required by Federal Law.
Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.
5–10 years of Navy experience required — preferably as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT), Sonar Technician (ST), Electronics Technician (ET), or Information Systems Technician (IT).
In-depth experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10, or comparable submarine/surface Navy combat systems.
Proficiency in software testing methodologies and use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with network protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP) and encryption practices.
Ability to assemble and configure computer equipment and basic familiarity with Linux command-line operations.
Knowledge of Strike software such as TTWCS, TCIP, and MDS is preferred.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one field, with working knowledge in adjacent disciplines.
