What You Will Do:
Selected candidates will assist contract coordinators, project managers, and direct other CAD team members with various capital design projects to address project issues and adjust designs as needed.
- Duties include maintaining as-built equipment layouts, develop mechanical or electrical drawings, perform field reverse / as-built drafting, maintain project drawing library, and maintain a wide format plotter.
- Drafter will receive project assignments from Team Leaders.
- Under supervision, prepare layout and construction drawings required to support the installation of capital manufacturing equipment including associated mechanical and electrical utilities.
- Maintain project drawing files, associated records, documentation tracking, and. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Obtain passport and PSSR signatures for equipment installation and moves.
- Possess a strong work ethic, good communication skills, strong organizational skills, and work well in a team environment.
- Successful candidate will be results-driven, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- 1 year of related experience is required
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience using AutoCAD (version 2014 or higher) and Windows cad draft based software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
- Experience with conversion of 3D models to 2D flattened layouts, maintaining drawing archives on a protected server, and operating a large format plotter.
Qualifications We Value:
- A degree in Drafting or related field, from an accredited technical college is preferred.
- Experience in the construction field associated with capital equipment installations and working in an industrial manufacturing/machining environment is a plus.
