The Product Definition Engineer will work as an individual contributor and will report to the Evendale site Engineering Manager and be responsible for creating models and drawings for jet engine hardware.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
As the Product Definition Engineer, you will:• Create 3D CAD models and 2D Engineering Drawings for individual parts and assemblies for jet engines
• Perform basic tolerance stack-ups to meet assembly requirements• Engage with manufacturing to perform producibility reviews• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to incorporate concepts to meet design intent
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or other technical positions)
• Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Desired Characteristics
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GE Aerospace co-op assignment• Experience using NX (Siemens) software• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing• Highly motivated and passionate• Self-starter with problem solving skills• Keen listener with exceptional communication skills• Flexible and friendly approach to working in teams
