THE WORK
The engineering aide provides technical support to the engineers and manufacturing operations team regrading a variety of tasks. The aides main task will be to provide floor support the cable and harness manufacturing floor, reducing production downtime, and answering technical questions that the operations team has. Other engineering aide tasks will consist of interpreting engineering drawings, procuring tooling, creating labels, and creating tooling using AutoCAD and 3D printers. The engineering aide must be able to communicate effectively with multiple different functions and must have a strong background in cable harness manufacturing.

WHO YOU ARE
You possess manufacturing knowledge, are adept at using hand tools, can proficiently read technical drawings to ensure an accurate and efficient assembly processes.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience in mechanical/electrical assembly. An understanding of mechanical build including rework and repair. An understanding of cable and harness assembly and tooling.

- Ability to read drawings and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and wire run lists.

- Working knowledge of IPC-A-620.

- Competent user of office software applications including MS Word and Excel.
Desired Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work seamlessly within the structure of a diverse, cross functional integrated production team environment.

- Specific experience with SAP and Solumina manufacturing
execution system.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through written and oral means.

- Must be willing to work overtime when required and conform to a work schedule that is supportive of the manufacturing assembly team.

- Hands-on soldering experience and/or certification. Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.

- This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
