The Parker Filtration Innovation Center is seeking an entry-level Engineer to join our Media Application team and support media initiatives across the Filtration Group divisions. This role will involve extensive cross-functional training to develop the skills necessary for testing, analyzing, selecting, and developing materials for a wide range of filtration applications. The Filter Media Engineer will work on project-based assignments and serve as a key liaison between various Parker Filtration entities and external filter media suppliers.

- Performs testing, evaluates results, and provides formal reporting for review.
- Defines scope of work and key characteristics for filter media with respect to end product performance and manufacturability.
- Coordinates, communicates, and reports out on projects on a regular basis to the Parker businesses and filter media suppliers.
- Drives and executes time-bound project-based media development for the filtration businesses of Parker meeting growth and profitability objectives.
- Assists and facilitates the new media approval process for divisions when required.
- Effectively employs statistical tools for design and execution of experiments.
- Actively participates in health and safety teams.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- B.S. in Chemical / Material Engineering, or related field required
- 0-2 years’ experience in project management in an engineered materials environment
- Knowledge / experience in nonwoven / membrane / paper is preferred
- Hands-on analytical skills / experience in a chemical / material lab is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent ability to apply a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and team skills to drive tasks to completion
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
