The Commercial Engines Maintenance Data and Services Engineering organization is seeking an individual who will lead the Mature Commercial Engines (MCE) Maintenance Data team. This team is responsible for the development and sustainment of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs) that are required to support configuration changes, on-wing maintenance, and overhaul of P&W’s mature commercial engines product line (V2500, PW4000, PW2000, GP7000, and several other operational engines). The technical publication products produced by this team are used by over 2,000 airline customers, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops and airframers to maintain, overhaul and repair engines on-wing and in a shop environment. The maintenance data being developed and delivered must meet the highest quality and safety levels, while exceeding customers’ expectations on timely release of data for use in maintaining and overhauling engines.
What You Will Do:
Ensure all program office, engineering, airframer, and customer support commitments and requirements are met, and ongoing status is communicated
Manage all resources and budget to ensure proper planning and control of E&D spending
Develop/maintain technical publications in accordance with FAA regulatory requirements
Strategically partner with outsource suppliers when cost effective and expanded capacity is required
Engage with the engineering value stream to improve quality and efficiency of source data to meet customer requirements for maintenance data
Responsible for all aspects of people management including staffing, staff development, training, tool and process development, task assignments, administration of performance appraisals, and identifying opportunities for growth
Interface with customers as it pertains to engine level maintenance data requirements
Travel to customers, aircraft manufacturer, suppliers, and MRO shops as required (approximately 5 of the time)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (mechanical engineering, or related engineering/technical disciplines) from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) college/university
10+ years of engineering or management experience, or 7+ years with an advanced degree.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in engine afterspanet support services, overhaul, and sustainment
Possess knowledge and understanding of technical data requirements as it pertains to FAA regulatory requirements and industry specifications (ATA iSpec2200 and S1000D)
Understanding of engine program life cycles as it relates to technical publications
Exceptional customer support experience and ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and partners
Demonstrated adaptability managing multiple priorities in parallel and conflicting tasks

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
