Role Overview

Lead team that project manages and coordinates strategy to improve flow of materials from the supply chain to support material engine output. Work as an integrated project team with product line, sourcing, and operations to provide best short and long term solution for the business.  Impact the team’s ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role and high levels of operational judgment are required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overall Project Management of multiple manufacturing constraints for Defense Engines.  Work with manufacturing programs as well as the supply chain to deliver solutions that yield increased output to the end customer, as well minimizing current and future program risk.  Leadership role expected to drive and partner cross-functionally to oversee and manage delivery to meet Defense Engine customer demand.  This role will drive product line, shop, and supply alignment to meet needs of business.
  • Role is expected to cross-functionally develop and manage long-term strategy for delivery to meet production and customer needs, including source strategy alignment both internally and within departments.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.  Optimize inventory and process improvements with leading cross functional team.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within multiple functions. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices and strategy to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.  Drive improvements in SQDC by analyzing and breaking constraints for the military engine business.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver multiple projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.  Will closely coordinate with Product Line, Sourcing, Materials, Engineering, and Internal Plants to drive military engine business forward.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in program management, project management, product management, and/or supply chain management)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, project management, product management, and/or supply chain management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience in supply chain and customer interactions
  • Lean manufacturing (FLIGHT DECK) experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
