We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We challenge what’s possible. From breaking the sound barrier to advanced tiltrotor systems.
Today, Bell is shaping the future of aviation through specialized engineering. And we want you.
We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next-generation stop-fold aircraft
This is on site role in Fort Worth, TX and Arlington, TX (SIL)
Mission Systems Aircraft Survivability Team, FLRAA
Mission System Engineers provide mission systems integration design and verification for major vertical lift programs, with a focus on aircraft survivability equipment for threat protection information and related countermeasure systems. Responsible for military platform avionics and mission system integration, particularly LIMWS, APR-39, AVR-2B, CIRCM, or ALE-47.
This team focuses on system and software integration, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, validation and verification testing in systems integration labs, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
Coordinates with mission system suppliers in the development, integration, and testing of autonomous teaming and launched effects is necessary for success in the role.
What you’ll be doing as a Mission Systems Aircraft Survivability Engineer:
-
Support all phases of development from initial proposal development through successful design, qualification, integration testing, flight test, and production.
-
Creation of system architecture, software architecture, and system schematics.
-
Collaboration with Bell Engineers from other disciplines to include mission computing, electrical power, flight controls, propulsion, airframe structures, rotors, fuel, hydraulics, and drive systems.
-
Analyze and resolve hardware/software integration issues as they arise.
-
Creation of system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans/procedures.
-
Development of test requirements to drive systems integration lab and flight test aircraft instrumentation design.
-
Perform hardware and software integration testing of multiple systems operating together in a systems integration lab.
-
Coordinate between Bell engineering teams, suppliers, and customers.
