The Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to join our growing infrastructure engineering team. This role is ideal for candidates with deep expertise in Enterprise Linux environments along with strong infrastructure engineering, automation, and production support experience.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, building, automating, and supporting large-scale Linux infrastructure environments while working independently in complex production ecosystems. This position requires strong troubleshooting capabilities across Linux systems, networking, middleware, and infrastructure components, along with exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
Responsibilities
- Strong hands-on expertise in Enterprise Linux environments (RHEL/CentOS/Debian/Oracle Linux)
- Design, build, manage, and support enterprise-scale Linux infrastructure environments.
- Perform advanced L3/L4 production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution across infrastructure and network layers.
- Experience in Linux infrastructure engineering, production support, and troubleshooting complex environments
- Strong exposure to automation/configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Scripting experience in Bash and/or Python
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching)
- Exposure to DevOps/IaC tools such as Terraform, Docker, GitLab, Vault, or cloud platforms is preferred
- Ability to independently troubleshoot, investigate, and own infrastructure issues.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployment, and operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Support middleware and application server environments including Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, and JBoss.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and connectivity.
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives involving DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud, and automation technologies.
- Maintain operational documentation, deployment procedures, and technical standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and production support activities as required.
