We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in Port Melbourne on a 13 month max term contract. This role is based 100 onsite in Port Melbourne.
About The Role:
As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with business leaders to gain a deep understanding of BAA and the core functions they represent. You will be a trusted business partner, providing financial analysis and insight including:
- Preparation of quarterly forecasts, variance analysis and reporting
- Weekly and monthly metrics & reports, such as headcount, overtime, cost variance analysis
- Proactively manage opportunities, risks and issues with stakeholders
- Analyze performance to plan, recommend and drive improvement initiatives
- Develop business cases and financial modeling
- Seek to drive efficiencies in existing processes through continuous improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications (Required skills / experience):
- Completed CA/CPA qualification with at least 5 years working experience in forecasting, audit and analysis
- Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proactive and results oriented
- Candidates must have Australian Citizenship to be considered for this role due to security clearances required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills / experience):
- Systems experience – preferable SAP
- Knowledge of cost management, accounting and financial reporting requirements in a manufacturing multi-national environment, ideal
