The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Internal Controls Specialist (Financial Accounting) to join their team in Renton, WA or Hazelwood, MO.
Position Responsibilities:
Evaluates sometimes highly complex business processes for risks to financial reporting completeness and accuracy and proposes designs for internal controls to mitigate those risks
Also, consults on the development and deployment of highly complex changes to current and emergent accounting tools and processes to advise on the potential impact to financial reporting risks and existing or proposed new internal controls
Directs and documents the analysis of potential deficiencies in internal controls over financial reporting and works with process owners / control performers to design remedial actions and ultimately evaluates the effectiveness of those actions
Works with both internal / external auditors and control performers to plan regular tests of internal controls and investigate any observations that could indicate weakness or deficiency
Report control performance, issue status, and other key measures of the health of the control environment to first-line and senior management
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Certified Public Accountant
Experience with Sox and understanding of the COSO internal control framework
Experience with PeopleSoft, Cognos, SAP
Experience with GAAP and ability to perform technical accounting research

Summary pay range: $118,150-$171,350
