Primary Job Duties
Ramp agents will be working outdoors on all shifts and need to be comfortable consistently lifting 50lbs. SBP operates 14 flights a day between Alaska and United Airlines. Ramp employees will be assisting on these flights. For the first 30 days, schedules will be assigned by your local manager, upon completion of all pre-employment tasks. After your initial hire, you will be placed into a bidding system where shifts are selected based on seniority. Flexibility is required from all employees during the first 30 days until shifts trading capabilities are activated. Following this period, you will have the ability to trade shifts to accommodate any scheduling conflicts.
As a Ramp Agent, you will provide excellent front-line service to our passengers by:
- Interacting and assisting with passengers and baggage while boarding flights
- Communicate clearly with ground personnel and flight crews
- Marshalling, pushing back and towing aircraft
- Offloading and loading luggage from all arriving and departing Alaska and United Airlines flights
- Ensuring ramp safety and security
- Cleaning and searching aircrafts upon arrival
- Lavatory and potable water servicing of aircrafts
- Pushing and Pulling ramp equipment
- Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50lb bags consistently throughout the day
