Job Title: CFM Engine InspectorJob Description
The Borescope Inspector is responsible for performing inspection (surveillance and borescope) on CFM-56 engine modules. You must have a Powerplant license and backshop inspector experience from an MRO or 145 repair station. Quantum software experience is highly preferred. You should be experienced in reading blueprints and working from OEM manuals, as well as using precision inspection and measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations of a powerplant/aircraft or parts thereof, in accordance with 14 CFR 65.85, 65.87, 65.95.
- Conduct inspections and required inspections using methods, standards, and limits from approved data to ensure satisfactory completion of work.
- Verify use of required tooling during maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks being inspected.
- Inspect major repairs and alterations to ensure performance in accordance with approved data, proper tools, and test equipment usage with no unauthorized deviations.
- Record inspections performed on maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and alterations as per Company procedures.
- Generate and sign FAA Form 337 for major repairs and alterations.
- Conduct inspection tasks on Customer’s aircraft, engines, and components, recording defects as required.
- Review corrective action entries, including installed parts tags, for completion and proper signoff with authorizing references.
- When assigned to Airworthiness Release duties, review deferred maintenance items and completed documentation for proper signoff before signing the Airworthiness Release.
- Complete inspection turnover for letter check inspections, ensuring status of incomplete tasks is recorded for incoming inspectors.
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming parts, materials, and tooling, ensuring they meet Company standards and requirements.
- Report to the Inspection Manager on matters adversely affecting airworthiness and maintenance efficiency.
- Responsible for engine incoming receiving, inventory, and borescope.
- Responsible for all module inspections and in-process signoffs.
- Issue shop disassembly, assembly, and final inspection paperwork.
Essential Skills- FAA Powerplant license
- 3+ years of engine borescope inspections on CFM-56 engines
- Experience with MRO and 145 repair stations
- Borescope and surveillance inspection experience
- Experience reading blueprints and working from OEM manuals
- Precision inspection and measuring tools experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Delta engines (backshop) preferred
- Quantum software experience
- Own basic set of aircraft maintenance precision inspection tools
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and able to take direction and guidance
- Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends when required

Work Environment
You will work in an engine shop environment from Monday to Friday, 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
