Bell Piney Flats Training Department

Bring your technical expertise and passion for developing others and join the Bell Piney Flats Training department. In this position you will conduct technical training in classroom and on-the-job environments, in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and industry standard practices. You’ll be able to showcase your communication and technical knowledge, all while growing your presentation skills, leadership and ability to develop others.

What you’ll be doing as a Technical Training Instructor

  • Deliver assigned learning sessions, which may include live classroom sessions, web-based learning, and on-the-job training to internal and external customers.
  • Perform administrative duties as required to ensure compliance with Bell policies and procedures, FAA approved Training program, AS9100, and other requirements as applicable.
  • Measure results of technical training using appropriate methods for determining participant reaction, amount of learning, and ability to demonstrate new skills in the classroom setting.
  • Design systems that clearly convey information to learners.
  • Report results of measurements and evaluations.
  • Develop and present recommendations for continuous improvements to technical training.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to determine training gaps and analyze trends.
  • Develop technical training courses to support new regulation/process/policy changes and to increase individuals’ skill levels.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners on their understanding of new materials and their performance in the classroom.
  • Continuously update and improve delivery and coaching skills including the use of new technologies for sharing knowledge and building skills.
  • Conduct individual skills assessments for various departments as required.
Job Requirements:

Skills you bring to the Role

  • Excellent communication skills, to include strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to assess a person’s learning style quickly and accurately.
  • Initiative, motivation, and ability to creatively problem-solve as required.
  • Proficiency in MS office programs (esp. Microsoft PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prepare progress and evaluation reports.

What you need to be successful

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Aviation experience in an FAA 145 Repair station required.
  • 5 years of experience in commercial aviation required.
    • 10 years preferred.
  • FAA Airframe Certificate required.
    • A&P Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use computer, to include Microsoft Office programs, in order to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
