Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic - Aviation
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Sheet Metal Repair Technician to join our team in San Marcos. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and fabricating aircraft sheet metal structures in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft sheet metal components.
- Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue.
- Fabricate and install replacement parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Document all work performed in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and fellow technicians to ensure quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
Essential Skills- Mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in sheet metal repair and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience with aircraft modification and maintenance.
- Riveting and welding skills.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or A&P certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft sheet metal repair or fabrication.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural systems and repair techniques.
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) License preferred.
- Experience with both general aviation and commercial aircraft.
- Familiarity with composite materials and corrosion control procedures.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
