A Simulator Technician II in the aviation industry is a mid-level technical role responsible for the advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of flight simulators used in pilot training. Building on foundational experience, this position involves diagnosing complex system issues across software, hardware, visual, motion, and avionics subsystems.

• The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance, assists in system upgrades and modifications, and ensures compliance with FAA or other regulatory standards.
• They may also provide technical guidance to Simulator Technician I staff, participate in simulator certifications, and work closely with engineering teams and instructors to maintain optimal simulator performance and reliability.
• Strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of aviation systems, and experience with simulation technologies are essential for this role.
