Boeing Global Services is currently looking for a C-17 Quality Manager to join their team in San Antonio, TX. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services San Antonio Site with overall compliance to Boeing and industry related Quality requirements.
This C-17 Quality Management position is a key member of the leadership team and is located at the Boeing site in San Antonio, Texas. Manages employees performing quality activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Job Families. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position requires significant interface with government customer representatives and maintaining a collaborative and positive relationship.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location:
Position Responsibilities:
Manages quality team consisting of quality personnel performing Quality engineering, inspection, flight operations, and technical activities in support of the C-17 program at the BGS San Antonio site.
Develops Quality strategies and plans to support execution of program/business plans.
Ensures functional excellence for Quality across the supported Programs and extended into the supply chain.
Responsible and accountable for Quality program management and leadership including overseeing program quality verification and compliance plans, resourcing and staffing, program quality performance, quality oversight, product acceptance and verification, quality metrics, Site corrective action board, DCMA customer relations, and timely response to customer and internal corrective action requests.
Conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of organizational and business goals.
Proactively communicates with leadership team, peers, and customers.
Keeps others informed by communicating business vision and strategies, program or project status, conducting and
participating in leadership meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions.
Builds organizational culture that values open and honest communication and first-time quality.
Communicates appropriate policies and directives to enhance employee awareness and clarify expectations.
Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee
Engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
Works with other management partners across organizational and functional boundaries to execute on programs, drive
Improvements and corrective actions, identify and mitigate areas of risk, and proactively work to increase first time quality.
Develops and implements staffing and development plans to ensure necessary skills are available
Ensures proper job classification of employees, sets employee goals and objectives, manages and evaluates performance to plan on a reoccurring basis.
Applies expertise in budget management principles and practices to ensure realistic budgets are set and attained for multiple projects across the organization.
Monitors Program Quality financial metrics to support budgetary planning and determine appropriate corrective action.
Enforces company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
3+ years’ experience in support of aerospace products, including commercial or military airplane flight operations
3+ years’ experience interfacing with a Government customer (i.e. FAA, DCMA)
Willing to travel up to 10
