Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Role Overview:
- The Incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing engineering of TIG welding
- This role will provide Leadership & Process expertise to Welding shop support team.
- Shall have hands on experience in fabrication and welding of Stainless steel and Inconel alloys for tubes and ducts of commercial aircraft engines.
- Shall have basic knowledge of all weld process Shall have hands on experience in using and complying to international welding codes and standards like AWS, ASME, EN etc.
- Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret drawings, manuals, SOP, MOS and other material to determine finish product.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions using problem solving tools like 5WHY Analysis, fish bone diagram, PDCA etc.
- Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Shall have experience in X Ray quality TIG welding with >96 yield.
- The Incumbent will be responsible for NPI Qualification, Process Improvements, Problem Solving & Hand Holding Of MJs, Help Call, NC Disposition, RCA, MRB meeting, Shop-aid preparation, Daily management meeting, Improvements for Safety & Ergo risk reduction, Productivity improvement Etc.
- Knowledge in welding machines usage and their accessories like welding positioners, Bevellers, Rollers, 3D welding tables, etc.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for TIG welding tasks involving low-thickness stainless steel (SS) and INCO materials, with a preference for experience working on tubes and ducts used in commercial aircraft engines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Welding Engineering, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Science. At least 10+ years of related experience in Welding Aviation, Automobile , Power, etc.
- Knowledge of the following welding codes AS9100, AWS D17.1, NADCAP ASME Sec IX. Sec VIII, AWS.
- Understanding of AS 9100 and ISO 9000:2000 Quality Standard
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members.
- Must be self-directed, highly detail oriented, organized, and flexible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in welding technique.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology
