Main Tasks:

• Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and coordinate all activities within the machine shop, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Develop Policies and Procedures: Implement shop policies to maximize efficiency, productivity, and safety.
• Staff Management: Train, evaluate, and provide feedback to staff, taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintenance Coordination: Plan and coordinate machine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime i.e. CNC, VMC
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Project Management: Review and approve project designs, provide cost estimates, and ensure timely completion.
• Inventory Management: Purchase and maintain inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on shop performance, productivity, and costs.
• Compliance: Ensure the shop adheres to all regulations and safety standards

Core Skills (must have):

• Bachelors degree in engineering or business preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in production environment or manufacturing management or toll room environment role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
