Job Description

Manage Satellite mechanical and electrical assembly operations with oversight of personnel, ensuring the product is manufactured to meet all quality expectations on time and within cost expectations. Maintain 6S/housekeeping and overall effectiveness of shift operations. Employee training and process auditing will also be required to support departmental objectives. Motivate and engage employees, as well as build trust and confidence among the management team. Partner with other area supervisors, managers, and operations resources to address and solve critical operational and employee performance issues in a timely manner. Support and engage the team in efforts to achieve operational metrics and goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage Satellite mechanical and electrical assembly operations

• Conduct employee training and process auditing
• Motivate and engage employees, building trust and confidence among the management team
• Partner with other area supervisors, managers, and operations resources to address and solve critical operational and employee performance issues
• Support and engage the team in efforts to achieve operational metrics and goals

• Experience with Solumina or any other MRP system
• Knowledge of avionics, clean room, bench work
• Assembly supervision

• Six Sigma

• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts
• Experience directly supervising manufacturing operations and personnel
• 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrated leadership behaviors to motivate, engage, and build trust
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
