Job Description:

This position will work independently to ensure the successful industrial representation and performance within program teams and the Integrated Program Team (IPT). The manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of each program, from design through manufacturing, ensuring that industrial commitments align with program objectives and the broader industrial strategy. This includes managing resources, budgets, production processes, and quality standards to meet technical, cost, and scheduling goals. The role also involves fostering collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments, optimizing industrial practices, and maintaining effective customer relationships on all industrial fronts. The PIM coordinates industrial teams – including Industrialization Leaders, Tooling and Manufacturing Planning. The PIM analyzes the risk of each program, and through standard procedures chooses specific deliverables to ensure a successful program. A PIM 2 can participate in projects or improvement initiatives.

Main Function Responsibilities

A)tMain responsibilities:
Program Representation and Leadership:
•tAct as the industrial representative within the program team and the Integrated Program Team (IPT).
•tEnsure industrial commitments align with program tollgates and schedules and the broader industrial strategy.
•tCoordination with Supply Chain IPT representation to ensure parts delivery supports program milestones and proactively review progress.
Design and Industrialization:
•tPlan and ensure manufacturing resources are prepared and capable of producing according to technical requirements, production rates, schedules, and cost objectives.
•tPropose and implement industrial schemes linked to the companys industrial strategy, including definition of Make/Buy strategy.
•tManage the industrialization budget and non-recurring costs through the life of the program, including managing cost reduction initiatives.
•tCoordinate engineering and manufacturing activities during the industrialization process, ensuring product/process convergence from an industrial perspective.
•tManage industrial and project risks
Manufacturing Performance:
•tOversee industrial process performance and adherence to cost objectives.
•tManage production issues and recovery plans, ensuring timely customer deliveries and maintaining quality standards.
•tManage cost reduction plans and ensure alignment between local operations and program demands.
Change Implementation:
•tImplement and manage changes in design and industrial schemes across the supply chain.
•tEnsure manufacturability and consistency of proposed changes from "as planned" to "as built".
Quality Assurance and Program Coordination:
•tEnsure that design and industrialization processes (e.g., APQP) maintain high-quality standards.
•tProvide customer interaction on all industrial aspects under delegation from the program director.
Job Requirements:

A.\tEducation & Qualification\tB.S degree in a related technical field or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience in lieu of a degree
B.\tWork Experience - Technical knowledge\tAdditionally five (5) years of manufacturing experience required in a Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or related Engineering capacity.

Solid understanding of product development stages and industrialization strategies, including APQP processes. Exposure to new product development strongly preferred.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, methodologies, and technologies relevant to the industry.
Understanding logistics, supply chain dynamics, and the ability to coordinate and optimize supply processes.
Ability to analyze and manage costs, particularly recurring costs in production, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation, including design specifications and industrial standards.

Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet predefined objectives within budget and on schedule. This includes risk management and mitigation strategies.

Decision-Making: Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations, ensuring timely and effective solutions that meet both the immediate and long-term needs of the program.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient with tools and technologies associated with manufacturing and industrial processes, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and software.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
