What You Will Do
The Senior Manager, Non-Destructive Inspection will be responsible for the quality inspection requirements and application for the Rotor Core domain, with a key focus on ultrasonic inspection.
The Senior Manager, Non-Destructive Inspection will develop and drive strategy for harmonization of methods to ensure consistency and repeatability of quality inspection techniques and standards internally and externally.
Perform inspection technology improvements, including transducer strategy and incorporation of PODs
Inspection capacity expansion via qualifications of additional immersion inspection tanks and part technique approval
Partner with Supply Chain on Sonic Supplier strategy
Industrialization of automated inspection cell
Occasional domestic travel up to 20 to the Clayville, NY facility
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelors degree in a STEM field and 10 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related industrial environment OR a Masters degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related industrial environment
ASNT Level II or III in Immersion Ultrasonics or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to work and motivate internal/external customers and cross-disciplinary team members
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and/or continuous improvement tools: Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
