Roles and Responsibilities
Site Leader responsibilities
- Maintain a certified site quality system (ISO9001/ AS9100)
- Manage and review government and commercial customer contracts
- Manage the priorities of the site quality team according to operational and strategic objectives
- Drive the site quality performance management process (key performance indicators, QMRs)
- Own problem solving and drive solutions to closure
- Report the sites quality issues and challenges to site-and global management
- Serves as the management representative for the quality management system certification
NPI Quality responsibilities include
Supplier Quality & Onboarding Support:
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership in support of new product introduction
- Develop supplier focus based on supplier performance in partnership with Sourcing and Engineering
- Define common standard work including supplier selection, onboarding and development.
- Define and assign strategic Supplier Quality Management projects
Design Quality Support:
- Define inputs to the design specification to secure robust and first-time yield design
- Collaborate across functions (Suppliers, Program and Engineering) to get to zero defect drawings
- Ensure that adequate standard training is defined for varying level of design engineers in place (i.e. MRB)
- Partner with Engineering to better define inspection requirements and methods on drawings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 6 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 9 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 11 years of professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in NPI quality management
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
- Proven ability to lead dynamic teams and passion to develop /coach team
- Drive impactful projects with efficiency, minimal resources, and low risk.
- Exceptional technical communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all levels of management, from engineering to operations.
- Deep expertise in ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, with the ability to apply them seamlessly to complex manufacturing and design environments.
- Extensive experience in Quality Management, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the flexibility to travel independently as needed to support business objectives.
