Workplace Coach
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an assembly focused Workplace Coach for a short term project in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Workplace Coaches will coach manufacturing technicians on assembly best practices (interpreting drawings, building to specifications, drilling, filling, sealing, FOD Avoidance and removal and conforming assembly processes). - Document improvement opportunities (quality processes, hand tools, tooling/jigs, safety, planning, sequence, etc) and transfer skills to the Arprior teams.
- Factory Cell-level recovery plans adhering to (milestones, metrics, KPIs)
- Hands-on coaching in assembly methods, drawing interpretation, tooling use
- Identification and formal documentation of quality, tooling, and process improvement opportunities
- Cross-training and onboarding support for supplier operators
- Daily engagement with supplier cross-functional team and Boeing stakeholders
- Improve factory cell throughput (output per cell) and stabilize production
- Improve product quality and reduce inspection failures
- Eliminate late purchase orders (POs) driven by source inspection or production constraints
- Embed skills and processes to sustain improvements after exit
Qualifications and requirements:- Must speak fluent Spanish
- 5 years + of experience in an Aerospace OEM structural assembly production facility
- Supervisory or Lead experience over a cell or Team with the ability to train and coach assembly personnel
- Proficient with production metrics and associated reporting in a vertical team leadership environment focused on process improvement
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written
- Proficient in Boeing Commercial drawing system, Tooling and related specifications applied to a production environment
- Sealing and installation of fasteners and components requiring sealing during assembly
- Work in a high rate fast paced production facility
- Lean Manufacturing experience documenting process improvements
- Understanding of stabilizing production systems and working with sub tier suppliers
