As the Manufacturing Engineering Productivity Lead (Power), you’ll play a key role in driving productivity improvements across three major product families: Power 777X ELMS, Power Gulfstream, and Power Military. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Delivering Direct Labour Productivity initiatives aligned with the Hoshin Kanri strategy, which constitutes approximately 80 of the role.

    • This aspect of the position is highly self-driven, offering the successful candidate the unique opportunity to identify and prioritise their own projects.

    • As the role is funded through the Hoshin Kanri, the expectation is to deliver productivity improvements that generate returns at least four times the cost of the position.

    • The role provides exposure to multiple international sites within the Aviation Systems business and offers opportunities to engage with senior executive leadership, fostering professional growth and development.

    • Collaboration with the Power Manufacturing Engineering teams to enhance technical problem-solving capabilities.

    • Working closely with local value-stream leadership to ensure productivity initiatives are integrated into their business plans.

This role serves as an excellent foundation for those interested in pursuing the Controlled Title-Holder (CTH) pathway, providing a clear avenue for career advancement within GE Aerospace.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (upper second-class) in a relevant Engineering discipline (or equivalent work experience).

  • This role requires strong experience in the Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to develop CAD models for tooling and fixture design.

  • Strong communicator with an ability to work across, and alongside, production, engineering, and other support functions.

  • Comfortable working independently, defining scopes of work, and delivering projects in accordance with this scope.

  • Experience working withing GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK model and/or Lean manufacturing methodology (training can/will be provided).

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver medium-to-large scale transformation projects in a technical engineering setting.
