Summary:
Responsibilities include soldering, crimping, inserting contacts into connectors, and torquing backshells-all performed to Class 3 IPC standards.
Follow written instructions from Mechanical Engineering and must be able to interpret schematic drawings.
Assemble electronic/mechanical subassemblies (e.g., cables, boards, panels) using hand/power tools
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
Perform soldering, crimping, and connector assembly to IPC Class 3 standards
Conduct continuity checks and perform quality inspections
Modify, rework, or reassemble components as needed for prototypes or production
Requirements:
1 2 years of experience with cable harness assembly
Familiarity with the following IPC standards:
IPC-A-610
IPC-J-STD
IPC/WHMA-A-620
Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
