Cyber Security Compliance Specialist (for Aerospace)
Job Description:

The Cyber Security Compliance Specialist role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide information security policies/controls and ensuring alignment with NIST and other industry standards, specifically EASA Part IS. This position will interface with all security functions within the Corporate Global Security organization (HGS), Enterprise IT, Aerospace Safety & Assurance, OT and Business leaders to ensure the overall Security Policy Program objectives are executed consistently with Program expectations, support the business and regulatory requirements and meet Honeywell quality standards.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and publish Information Security Policies, Standards and Baselines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements (i.e. EASA Part IS). Drive completion of Security Policy Program tasks with attention to detail and integrity
  • Perform periodic gap assessments of policies/standards against core frameworks and identify additional technical security requirements in support of the advancement and documentation currency of Security Policies, Standards, and Baselines. Own maintenance of controls mapping for regulatory & customer compliance.
  • Participate in the technical evaluation, assessment, documentation, and recommendation of security controls to fulfill enterprise security requirements in accordance with aviation safety risk tolerance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize information about security risks across the organization. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, safety managers, auditors, and external agencies to provide documentation and evidence for audits and assessments.
  • Create content and facilitate training and awareness on Security Policies, Standards, and Baselines to increase adoption across the enterprise

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Masters degree in Information Security will be considered an advantage.
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT security industry compliance frameworks (example: NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/2, Cyber Security Framework).
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience
  • Proven technical writing skills in establishing Governance related documents (Policies, Standards, Baselines etc.)
  • Knowledge of regulated industries and safety requirements in aerospace or other industries.
