Position Overview
The People Services Representative is a crucial team member responsible for executing transactional HR activities and providing Tier-1 support to employees. This role ensures efficient and effective HR service delivery, maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality. The People Services Representative performs work of intermediate to moderate difficulty in a customer service-oriented Human Resources environment.
Essential Duties
- Process employee life-cycle transactions including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS) with precision
- Ensure proper recordkeeping of new hires, including completing E-Verify
- Generate routine reports from the HRIS to support business operations
- Conduct regular audits of employee records to ensure data integrity
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all transactional processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Resolve basic employee issues and escalate complex cases to appropriate COEs, HRBPs or management.
- Provide guidance on self-service tools and resources available to employees.
- Assist employees with Leave of Absences, including FMLA application
- Process certification assistance and education assistance for employees
- Respond to telephone and written inquiries regarding employment verification
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all transactional processes
- Maintain HR records, assuring regulatory compliance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the People Services function
- Participate in projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and employee experience
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
What you need: (Requirements)
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a shared services environment
- General knowledge of Human Resources functions, including EEO/AAP programs, employment and recruiting practices, benefit coordination, and related HR functions
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and basic reporting tools, preferably Dayforce and SuccessFactors
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions
Preferred
- Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with HRIS system and basic reporting tools (Dayforce and Success Factors)
