JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises and directs activities of department scheduling, parts expediting, and stock control to meet production schedules.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures a safe working environment for employees and those around.
Develops people and processes through continuous improvement techniques.
Plans, coordinates, and supervises activities of employees assigned to department planning, scheduling, material movement, material presentation, and stock control.
Realigns assignments as necessary to provide the most efficient services to support production.
Develops and installs procedures and methods utilizing automated material shortfall reports. Establishes priority classification requirements with production and spares departments and monitors application to meet production schedules and usage rates.
Schedules and conducts coordination meetings with other departments such as Process Engineering, Quality, Fabrication, Assembly, and Purchasing, furnishing current information concerning any open material information and or material flow issues.
Reviews and analyzes repetitive issues lists and directs activities to provide corrective actions when needed. Analyzes causes and initiates action to alleviate recurring inventory problems.
Prepares or directs the preparation of correspondence, various status and progress reports for effective communication of section activities and requirements.
Leads a team for a given value stream and oversees all production control & logistics operations within the value stream.
Assist with capacity analysis, bottleneck elimination, and continuous improvement projects for a given value stream.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree preferred, or in lieu of degree a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience and/or relative supervisory experience is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with materials management, supply chain, SAP, scheduling, warehouse management, and/or logistics is preferred
Standard work hours must be flexible to support operations
Action oriented, adaptable to change, ready to lead, and able to learn quickly
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet required deadlines.
Ability to foster teamwork through strong written and verbal communication skills.
A sound understanding of Microsoft Office.
